Cosmelan Depigmentation Programme
Cosmelan is the worlds leading de pigmentation method, with over a million people seeking and receiving treatment.
the integral professional depigmentation method for your spots
it treats the problem from its origin, removing
spots and preventing their reappearance.
cosmelan® how does it work?
all-in-one treatment to obtain short and long-term results thanks to its dual action: corrective and regulating.
it removes the deposits of melanin, a pigment that gives colour to the spot in the outermost skin layers

it acts directly in the melanocyte, a cell where melanin is produced, to control its production and keep hyperpigmentation under control
treatment phases
cosmelan® protocol has four differentiated phases required to reach the target result.
It is a long process where persistence and compliance with the protocol, as indicated, are key to achieve a successful final result.
intensive depigmentation
The spot fades superficially while renewal of the first skin layers is stimulated, thus improving its appearance and texture.
Your reference professional will apply cosmelan 1mask. Then, once the mask is applied the client will go home, leaving it to act for the indicated time by the professional, between 8-12 hours approximately.
After the time indicated by the professional, cosmelan 1 mask must be removed by carefully rinsing with warm water. Repeat as many times as necessary until the product is completely eliminated.
what feelings do you expect when removing the mask?-
24-48 hours after removing the mask:
The skin is sensitive, tight and can show redness.
-
48-72 hours after phase 1:
Start of phase 2 and home treatment
The corrective action of the method must be completed, regulating overproduction of melanin, the pigment that gives colour to the spot. To keep under control the melanocyte, the cell where melanin is produced, we start with the daily application of cosmelan 2 together with melan recovery and melan 130+ pigment control.
Apply cosmelan 2 three times a day (morning, midday and night) followed by melan recovery and melan 130+ pigment control during daytime applications.
-
In this phase, you can usually feel itching, burning and notice the skin dryer and tight. The skin can be irritated, sensitised and can start to peel.
-
This is normal, it is part of the process and together with the flacking your spots will begin to fade progressively in a visible manner.
regulation of hyperpigmentation
We continue acting on the origin of the problem: localised overproduction of the pigment. Therefore, we must regulate melanin overproduction, to prevent these spots from reappearing and even out skin tone progressively.
Apply cosmelan 2 morning and night, followed by melan recovery and melan 130+ pigment control at daytime. In case of sun exposure, reapply sunscreen every two hours.
-
You will feel your skin more renewed, with a “new” glow and see how any imperfection is reduced… but the treatment has not ended yet!
-
This is key to obtain the best results and keep your skin pigment overproduction controlled. It is important that, despite the good feelings, you do not give up at this point.
control of reappearance
PHASE FOUR
In this phase, recurrence of the spots treated and formation of new spots is prevented, prolonging the result of the method for a longer time, as the susceptibility to developing spots is a potential risk for your skin.
Apply cosmelan 2 at night, followed by melan recovery. At daytime, apply melan 130+ pigment control and reapply in case of direct sun exposure.
-
In this phase you will notice your skin has recovered its hydration levels, has stabilised and looks even and renewed.
-
You are close to obtain the best results, follow the guidelines and do not forget to protect yourself from the sun, which is the main risk factor for repigmentation.
